In the midst of dark seasons and setbacks, we can easily forget that God is for us and doubt His love for us. We can start to question if His presence is really with us. However, we never have to fear wherever life takes us because God is watching over our every step.ย We have an almighty God who goes with us and is for us. Know who is for you.
Fear is not our portion as a child of God. We are His chosen and beloved ones. Just like any superhero would go out of their way to save their loved ones, God too has gone out of His way to save us. He sent Jesus to die for us so that we could have eternal life with Him. God pursued us on the cross and still pursues us today.
Psalm 121:8 says, “Theย Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
Because we are His, He has taken the responsibility to watch over us. Song of Solomon is not only a depiction of the love of a husband and wife but also of Christ and us. Song of Solomon 2:16 says, “My beloved is mine and I am his.“
You belong to Jesus.ย
You are loved, cherished, and cared for by your heavenly Father. Though darkness may be around you, remember who goes with you. Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.“
Instead of focusing on where you are going, focus on ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ฐ๐ก๐จ ๐ ๐จ๐๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ. We may not understand all that is happening around us, but we can rest knowing that He is faithful. God always takes care of His children. Psalm 37:25 says, “I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”
As we fix our eyes on Jesus, His peace will guard us through every season. We all will have dark valleys to walk through, but God promises to always be with us. As long as God is with us and for us, ๐ง๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฎ๐ฌ (Romans 8:31).
Will you turn to God and allow His word to comfort you?ย
Placing our trust in this world will never give us peace because nothing in this world can ever promise us anything. God, however, is reliable, and we can stand upon His word. This is the time to press into Him and renew our fears and worries with His comforting truth. We must also not give up in prayer but believe with great faith that God will come through for our needs. Luke 18:7 says, “And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry outย to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?โ
We are God’s chosen ones, near and dear to Him. Times of uncertainty are times when we need to look to Him as our help and bring our requests to Him. God is faithful to bring about His promises in our lives. Keep looking to God because your help comes from Him (Psalm 121:2). You will never lose hope when God is your help because He never fails. So remember, know who is for you.
