I was discouraged about praying because my prayer requests were not being answered. One of them was about my Single but in a Relationship with God books being lost in Indonesia after sending them to my aunt. 

The books were supposed to go to a few important people there. I prayed but after 2 weeks, I heard that they unfortunately couldn’t be found. This discouraged me to keep praying for that and many other things.

One month went by and God reminded me of the power of prayer so I prayed with faith once again for those books to be found.

My aunt then got back to me the same week I prayed again with faith and told me the books were found! I was reminded of the importance to pray always and on all occasions.

Paul in Ephesians 6:18 says, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.“ God also tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing. We must continue to keep our hearts praying and filled with faith all day even as we go about our day. 

‭‭As believers of Jesus, we have His Spirit living in us. We get to let the Holy Spirit lead us in all our prayers for all kinds of things and people because the Holy Spirit knows what needs to be prayed for. Romans 8:26-27 says, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”

Set time daily to pray for the things God has put in your heart to pray for. Let the Holy Spirit guide your prayers and pray in tongues too.

Remember, it’s not enough to just pray — we must pray always. God tells us in Colossians 4:2, “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.” Carry a heart of thanksgiving as you pray knowing that God hears your prayers and is moving on your behalf. The words “continue earnestly” in Greek means to be constantly diligent and to wait on. God wouldn’t ask us to earnestly pray if our prayers were powerless. 

Prayer is a part of the armor of God that we get to use daily against the enemy’s schemes (Ephesians 6). 

Will you commit to praying in the Spirit every day despite what you see?

There is power and purpose behind our prayers. Why pray? It is through our prayers that we get to see God’s purposes happen on earth. Jesus teaches us to pray, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). 

We have access through prayer to know what is in God’s heart and His will to partner with Him. What a beautiful opportunity we have as His children! 

Jesus gives us a parable in Luke 18 to his disciples to show them that they should pray always and not give up (Luke 18:1). 

In this parable, an unjust judge answers the request of a widow because of her persistence. Jesus then says, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? (Luke 18:6-7). 

Jesus tells us if an unjust judge will answer a plea, then how much more will God, a just judge, answer our prayers? 

Whatever you have been believing for, keep praying and believing. Remember the power of prayer. God hears our prayers and He will act upon our prayers in His perfect time.

It’s not enough to just pray—we need to also make sure our lives are right with God. The Bible makes it clear that God hears the prayer of the righteous and that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16 says, “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

Proverbs 15:29 says, “The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous.” 

There is nothing in this world that is worth separating you from God. He has already shown us love and mercy by giving us Jesus who died on the cross so that our sins can be cleansed forever if we accept Jesus as our Savior and live in Him. There are so many privileges we get to have living right with Jesus. 

More than ever we need to be praying and watchful of our lives. Jesus is coming back and we are closer to the day when this age will end. A new heaven and earth will be established and those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior and live in His ways will reign with Him for eternity. 

How is your heart with Jesus? Is there anything you are doing that is displeasing God that could be hindering your prayers?

Prayer is the key to our breakthrough. So remember, pray without ceasing. 

Prayer: Jesus, thank you for reminding us daily of the power of prayer. No matter how busy life gets or how disappointed we may feel, may we always continue to pray always and trust in You that things will work out according to your will.

Many times I’ve found myself praying for God to turn a situation around or to transform someone’s life, but can I be honest? I may not always believe that the situation will get better or that the person I’m praying for will change. I found myself praying out of obligation because I know that’s what I’m supposed to do, but God showed me during my time with Him that my prayers lacked faith. 

I’ve learned that it’s not enough to pray—We need to BELIEVE in our prayers. Doubt will always arise, so we need to be ready to stand firm in faith and believe that God is able to answer our prayers. When we remember the God who answers our prayers, no fear can quench our faith. Jesus tells us clearly that when we pray, we are to believe we have received it and it will be ours (Mark 11:24). 

God hears the prayers of those who trust Him and believe that HE IS ABLE to answer their prayers. Our words alone do nothing in our prayers if it is not backed with faith.

In 1 Chronicles 5 we see that God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into the hands of the Reubenites, Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh because they cried out to Him during battle. 1 Chronicles 5:20 says, “They were helped in fighting them, and God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands, because they cried out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him.”‬‬

Let us be ones that trust God is able to do the impossible and that our prayer is not left unheard. God does hear and move by our prayers. We can do things in our own strength, but it’s prayer that invites God’s mighty hand to bring actual breakthroughs in our circumstances. 

Our victory starts with prayer. 

Our victory in the battle with anxiety starts with prayer AND trusting God with our prayers. God reminds us to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, presenting our requests to God (Philippians 4:6). God promises that as we turn our anxieties into prayer, His peace will Guide us (Philippians 4:7). The key is that we place our trust in God and believe that He is for our good. As long as we are in right standing with God, we can depend on His faithfulness. Psalm 18:25 says, “To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless.”

Our victory in the battle with temptation starts with prayer. Prayer is our weapon to overcome temptations. Jesus teaches us how we should pray in Matthew 6 and includes, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one”(Matthew 6:13). He also tells us in Luke 21:36, “…pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

‭These 2 verses show us that we NEED to pray for God’s strength to overcome temptations. Jesus doesn’t suggest that we pray for God to deliver us from the enemy’s schemes— He commands we pray always to be found worthy before His sight. Temptation is the enemy’s tactic to cause us to turn away from God, but as we fix our eyes on Jesus and position our hearts unto Him through prayer, our temptations no longer become temptations. 

Will you press into prayer with faith and believe in the impossible? Will you press into prayer to help you overcome the battle with anxiety or temptation?

God is the only one who can help us overcome our battles, but we must believe in His power. So remember, pray with faith and believe that God will make a way.

Prayer: Jesus, thank you for always hearing our cries and answering our prayers in times of trouble. Help us to understand that we must not only pray, but we must pray with faith because our faith and prayer have the power to move mountains.

It’s hard to make decisions in life when we have no idea where our decisions today will take us tomorrow. So how do we make the right choices? How can we be sure that we’re on the right track when everything around us is so uncertain?

Here’s the good news – we don’t need to know what will happen tomorrow because God already knows what will happen. He created you with a purpose and has made plans for your life. God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you..“

No one on this earth knows the plans for your life except God. No business expert, parent, or even the smartest person alive can give you 100% assurance for what will happen tomorrow. We can only trust in God’s way because he is the only one who knows the plans he has for us and only he can get us there.

Whether you’re making a small or big decision in life, let God make that decision. How can we trust our own choices when we don’t know the future? Only God has the best answer to the uncertainties in your life because he knows it all.

Our future may be uncertain to us, but it is never uncertain to God. 

A better tomorrow starts with the decisions you make today. Are you asking God to help you make the right choices for the decisions you have to make? Have you waited and heard from God before coming down to a conclusion? Are you still the decision maker of your life?

Let God be the decision maker of your life because only he knows what is best for you.

God knows his plans for you.

Prayer: Dear lord, I put my trust in you. For you know the plans you have for me so I am believing and trusting in your ways.

Where do you turn to when you’ve faced a dead end in your situation? Has your solution given you true healing and restoration? There is only one place to find healing and that is at the feet of Jesus. 

There is power when we submit our lives to Jesus. Matthew 15 talks about how many who were blind, lame, and sick with no hope all ended up healed at the feet of Jesus. I’m sure the sick all tried everything they could to be healed but found that their only real hope was Jesus.

You may not be physically blind, but are you feeling lost to what you should be doing in life? Blind from seeing a solution in your situation? You may not be physically crippled, but do you have a weakness or limitation in your life that is stopping you from doing what God wants you to do? Feeling crippled and weak from the struggles of life?

We may not be physically sick like the people in Matthew 15, but we can still relate to them because we all have some kind of brokenness in our lives that need healing. The good news is, we have a healer and that is Jesus.

The greatest power you will ever find in this world is at the feet of Jesus. 

Healing happens at the feet of Jesus. It is when you lay everything down that Jesus will then take it and turn it around for your good. Jesus wants to heal you, but it starts with you making the first step to lay it all down at his feet. Give all your hopelessness to Jesus and he will start bringing miracles into your life.

Just as Jesus was able to heal the blind, lame, and sick, so can he heal any of your shortcomings. Being weak and broken isn’t bad news because you have a healer who can heal you.

  Be healed at the feet of Jesus.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, may my brokenness lead me to to the feet of Jesus. I surrender it all to you.

It’s very hard to let go of the things we so long to hold on to. But it’s when we don’t let go that we will find ourselves stuck in the same place we have always be in.

We think holding on to the things we want is the best for us, but it only keeps us from moving towards God’s calling and blessing in our lives. We can’t move on if we’re still holding on to that pole that is rooted with our own selfish desires that are not rooted in God. He wants to set you free.

God wants you to let go so that you can walk freely into his beautiful plan for you.

Let go because God has something better for you. Will you hold on or let go?

Pray this prayer:

Dear Lord,

Help me to let go of the things you ask me to let go so that I may walk freely into your will.

Why must we ask God to search us? Because He is only one who can truly know us and show us our sins; our faults, mistakes, and things we need to change. He knows us better than we do, and He knows what is best for us.

God is the expert of us.

Without the Holy Spirit we cannot see within ourselves, and without his guidance and empowerment, we cannot save ourselves. Ask God to search you, then to show you, and lastly to lead you. It’s only then that you can walk into his glorious way.

Pray this prayer:

Dear Lord,

Search me, show me, and lead me into your wonderful way.

We can praise God with our lips, but true praise comes from the heart that overflows into our actions. Our words alone are the last thing that God desires from us.

He wants us to be a living sacrifice. 

Would you rather have someone say sweet words to you, yet hurt you in their actions?

Praise God through the way you choose to live- give when He asks you to give, let go                                when He asks you to let go. Seek his will in every actions you take.

This is your true praise to God.

Pray this prayer:

Dear lord,

May I praise you through the actions that I take and the choices that I make.

A Pure heart can only come from God, for we cannot create one of our own. If we want a pure heart, we must ask God for it through prayer. Our prayers to God should not only be focused on blessings, but also in our oneness in Christ.

Pray this prayer:

Dear Lord,

Create in me a pure heart. Purify my heart each day from the dirtiness of this world.

It is always hard to represent God during our stressful and bad kind of days, but that is when we need to represent God the most in our lives. Use this as your daily morning prayer.
