We hear all the time that Christ is all we need, but what does that actually mean? How can we receive all that we need in Christ? What does it look like to live in Christ?
Though I’ve been a Christian for some time, God is still opening my eyes to see that all we need is in Christ. John 15:7-8 says, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.“
There is a condition to this verse and it is living as one with Jesus. When we choose to abide in Him and in His word, we will receive all that we ask of Him if it is to glorify God.
God is a loving father and He longs to lavish you with every spiritual and physical blessing that is found in Christ.
Ephesians 1:3 says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”
You may be asking, why Christ? Without Christ, we would have no access to God or His blessings because we were all born into sin. However, God sent Jesus to die on our behalf and to shed His blood to purify us from all sin. He rose again which proved He has conquered death and this gives us hope that we too have eternal life in Him.
Ephesian 1:6-8 says, “…he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.“
Because of Christ, we have access to live life to the fullest and to eternal life.
When all we had was shame, Jesus replaced it with 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
When all we had was darkness, Jesus gave us 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.
When we couldn’t see rightly, Jesus gave us 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞.
When we deserved condemnation, Jesus saved us with 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞.
Jesus has paid the price on the cross for us to have a relationship with God and to live a victorious life. He has shown His mercy and love to us through Jesus. We don’t have to ask for healing or any other need with doubt because it all has been given in Christ. When Jesus died on the cross, He made the decision to give us access to every blessing in Him. During this Easter week, let us take time to give thanks for Jesus. It is through Him that we can obtain every promise from God and live with hope.
We also have access to the authority and power that comes within Christ. Colossians 2:9 says, “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.”
All we have to do is to surrender our lives to Jesus and to live for Him. As we live for Jesus, we receive everything that we need.
Will you surrender your life to Jesus to live the life He created you to live?
You must give of yourself fully to see the full blessings of Jesus. If there are relationships that you need to cut off or any other act of disobedience, now is the time to do so. Jesus has a beautiful future planned out for you and is waiting for you to say yes to Him. So remember, all we need is in Christ.
