Search me, show me, lead me

Psalm 139:23, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.”

Why must we ask God to search us? Because He is only one who can truly know us and show us our sins; our faults, mistakes, and things we need to change. He knows us better than we do, and He knows what is best for us.

God is the expert of us.

Without the Holy Spirit we cannot see within ourselves, and without his guidance and empowerment, we cannot save ourselves. Ask God to search you, then to show you, and lastly to lead you. It’s only then that you can walk into his glorious way.

Pray this prayer:

Dear Lord,

Search me, show me, and lead me into your wonderful way.

Give to help us continue making resources for others to connect with God in a real, personal way — and experience His Word as living and active.

This is definitely so true! And when we ask Him to search us, He shows us things within us that we otherwise would have ignored
