God Is Closer Than You Think

by | Mar 25, 2020

Though God may feel far, He is closer than you think. He ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ฌ your cries, ๐ค๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ your thoughts, and ๐ฌ๐ž๐ž๐ฌ you where you are at. You are ๐’๐’๐’•๐’Š๐’„๐’†๐’… ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐’๐’๐’—๐’†๐’… by your Heavenly Father.

It can be hard to believe that God is close when everything around us seems to tell us otherwise. However, we must cling to the truth that God is with us and lives inside of us. The coronavirus has caused many nations to fear. We can easily be given to fear when all we are feeding into our minds and hearts is what is going on around the world.

This is the time to meditate on God’s love for us and speak His life-bearing words from the Bible into our everyday lives. We must renew our minds with His truth and who we are to God. God wants us to remember that we are so loved and valued by Him. There is never a day that passes by without God thinking of us.

We are always in His thoughts because He loves us. He knows the thoughts that go in our mind, our emotions and feelings, and the deep desires we have in our hearts. Psalm 139 1:3 says, “You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.

Though the world may not notice you, ๐†๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐ž๐ฌ. He takes the time to search through you and know you because you matter to Him. You don’t have to give in to fear when the most high God is constantly monitoring you.

Though we are not excused from hardships, God promises us that He is always with us and promises to give us His peace that surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:6-7 says, โ€œDo not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.โ€

What is the point of praying if we will only be left worrying? We must let go of our worries and trust our situation in God’s hand through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. God is able to do the impossible and is faithful to lead us out of our battles victoriously.

When we remember how ๐’๐’๐’—๐’†๐’… we are by our Heavenly Father, all worry, fear, sorrow, and other things that strip away our joy ๐ก๐š๐ฏ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ฏ๐ž. Remind yourself that God loves you and is for you when you’re tempted to fear. When you’re given into sorrow, remember that He hears you and is with you. His love is enough.

Ephesians 3:17-19 says, โ€œthat you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and heightโ€” to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.โ€ When our lives are rooted in His love, nothing can strip us away from His love, peace, and joy. We become filled with the fullness of God in the midst of a dark world. When we understand and have a connection to God’s love, we can live out the life He created us to live.

Will you meditate on His love today and ask Him to show you how He sees you?

Build your life upon His love by allowing His love to be the source of ๐’†๐’—๐’†๐’“๐’š๐’•๐’‰๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ you need. Run to Him in moments of fear and weariness. Choose to hold on to hope instead of fear. You are loved by your heavenly father. So remember, God is closer than you think.
