Are there fears that you are holding on to? We are not fully relying on God if we are choosing to hold on to fear over faith. To rely on God means to believe in His promises over what we see. It means we have set in our hearts to obey Him over what we feel may be right. How far will you rely on God?
It can be easy for us to say we rely on God, but do our actions prove so?
Our obedience is our proof that we rely on God. We can say we depend on God, but if we are not willing to put Him first and choose His way, then we can’t say we trust God. Choosing to not follow God’s request shows that we trust in our own ways over His.
This is why Jesus says in John 14:15, “If you love me, keep my commands.” The best way to show God that we love and rely on Him is through our obedience to Him.
We must come to a place of understanding that without God, we cannot live life to the fullest and achieve the very dreams He has placed in our hearts.
Moses would not go anywhere where God’s presence wouldn’t be with Him because He knew success only came with God.
Moses said to God, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” (Exodus 33:15-16)
Have we become convinced with the truth that only 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐝 all things are possible? Are we setting our hearts to follow God’s way or our way?
God has given us His Spirit to live in us for those who have accepted Jesus as their savior. Jesus says in John 14:16-17, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth.”
We have the choice however to walk in accordance with the Holy Spirit or to grieve Him (Eph 4:30). Fear is one of the greatest ways to grieve the Holy Spirit. If we have fear of singleness, we will be blinded from seeing the wrong people we shouldn’t date. If we are fearful of our future and want to get rich quick, we may pursue ventures that God doesn’t want us to pursue.
Fear blinds from the truth, while faith leads us to the truth.
Let us walk in step with the Holy Spirit and choose to follow His leading. Apart from Jesus, we can do nothing (John 15:5). God has amazing plans for you and longs to see His promises fulfilled in your life. So remember, how far will you rely on God?
