God’s love has the power to numb us from the issues around us that involve anxiety, unforgiveness, insecurity, anger, and more. If you are wondering, “does God love me?”, know that there is power in knowing how much God loves us.
I didn’t know my journey of healing from anxiety would be a journey of knowing God’s love in a deeper way. Anxiety and fear have always tried to torment me for years. I’ve received a breakthrough in this area, but when I am not intentional with renewing my mind with God’s truth when the lies and negative thoughts come, I go back to falling into anxiety.
Without me realizing it, I had tolerated fear for a couple of weeks. It was during my alone time with Jesus that He showed me I was making decisions and reacting out of fear.
1 John 2:5 says, “But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” I was not keeping God’s word because I chose to hold on to fear. He showed me the reason for this was that His love was not perfected in me.
I started asking Jesus every day to perfect His love in me. I found that as God’s love filled my heart, I had no room to fear. I was no longer occupied with the “what if’s” in my heart and instead rested knowing that I don’t have to worry because God loves me.
You have nothing to worry about as you surrender your life to Jesus. He loves you so much. We can be assured of God’s love for us because He was even willing to give up Jesus to be crucified, His only begotten son, so that those who believe in Him will not perish but be with Him for eternity (John 3:16). When you know how much God loves you, you will remember that fear is not your portion.
Jesus loved us so much that He wanted to be the very garment that would allow us to have intimate love with Him. We become the righteousness of God and have fellowship in His love as we clothe ourselves with Jesus.
In the Old Testament, the priest had to put on holy garments to enter the Holy Place which is where God’s presence dwelt. Leviticus 16:3-4 says, “Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with the blood of a young bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as a burnt offering. He shall put the holy linen tunic and the linen trousers on his body; he shall be girded with a linen sash, and with the linen turban he shall be attired. These are holy garments…”
Now we get to enter into God’s presence with our holy garment which is Jesus. Jesus gave us access to Himself when He chose to die and shed His blood for us on the cross.
How beautiful it is to know that we have access to experience God’s love as we clothe ourselves with Jesus (Romans 13:14). We can’t love Jesus without Him. We must clothe ourselves with Jesus by choosing to live according to His ways. In doing so, we position ourselves to receive a full revelation of His love for us and become empowered to love Him back.
I have found that when I am not living out God’s word, it is because His love is not perfected in me. When I act out in jealousy, anger, or anxiety, it is because my heart is not filled with God’s love. However, when I remember that I am His creation and that His works are wonderful, I have no room to be jealous (Psalm 139:14). When I remember how God has extended mercy to me and how much He loves me, I have no room to hold anger towards others or worry about my life (John 3:16).
Every wound and sin issue in our heart leaves as we understand how much God loves us. God’s love has the power to perfect every wrong thing in us. His love never fails even when we have failed (1 Cor. 13:8).
Ask God to give you a revelation of His love for you. There is no such thing as “He loves me, He loves me not” with Jesus. He always loves us even when we mess up and hurt Him. His love doesn’t excuse us to sin, but rather pursues us into His light.
1 John 3:9 says, “Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.”
His love perfects every wrong in us and transforms us into His image.
1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” God cares about you A LOT. He thinks about you a lot because of His great love for you. He loves you so much that His thoughts towards you outnumber the grain of sand (Psalm 139:17-18). We don’t have to worry a bit about our lives because nothing about our lives is unseen by God. Everything about our lives matter to God — our children, spouse, future, career, family, and more. He cares so much about us and what goes on in our lives.
You never have to wonder does God love me because He does.
Will you cast your worries unto Jesus and enjoy this day He has given you?
God’s love is the solution to ALL our problems because love never fails and He is love (1 Cor. 13:8).
Sin, shame, anxiety, insecurity, and any other imperfection are overcome and erased by His love. Know that you are loved and that His goodness and mercy will always follow you as you follow Christ.
Psalm 23:6 says, “Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life…” This is a promise to those who make Jesus their shepherd. As the flock of Jesus, we are greatly loved and cared for. We don’t need to worry about any part of our lives because Jesus is already watching over every part of our lives. Don’t settle for what you know. Grow deeper in the knowledge of His love for you. So remember how much God loves you.
Prayer: Jesus, may we never forget how much you love us. We know that your love will never die and we can count on you to protect us and take care of us.

Thank you for your beautiful article on The Perfect Love Of God casting out fears and anxieties. When I was born again I experienced The Supernatural Love of God as well as his Grace, and Peace. I had never experienced Love like that. I liked what you said about Aaron having the blood of the sacrifice as he entered the Holy Of Holy’s on his garment and how when we also remember that have the blood Jesus shed for us, God’s most precious, priceless son, we’re humbled before him and able to receive his Perfect Love.
