It can be easy to get caught up with the life we live now that we forget πππ ππππππππ ππ ππππ. Jesus is inviting us to know Him and our purpose here on this Earth so that we can prepare ourselves to be π π¬π©π¨ππ₯ππ¬π¬ ππ«π’ππ for when He comes (Rev. 19:7). How we live today πππππππ where we will be in eternity. Now is the time to ππππππ πππ π πππ and live for eternity.
Jesus is inviting each of us to know Him through doing life with Him. He has given each of us an invitation to come and follow Him as He did with His disciples in the Bible. We miss out on living life to the fullest each day we live without Jesus. The enemy wants us to believe that Jesus isnβt worth living for, but that is far from the truth.
Jesus is worth living for.
He came not only to give us eternal life, but to also give us a life to the fullest here on earth. John 10:10 says, βThe thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
We may think to ourselves that we can put off living for Him, or getting our lives right, but what if today is the only chance we have? Tomorrow is never promised, but we do have today.
Psalm 90:12 tells us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Wisdom comes when we live in the long run and not for the now. We are called to live for eternity to come.
This meansβ¦
Whatever God is calling you to do now, do it.
Whatever you need to get right in your life, do it.
Whatever is holding you back from spending time with Jesus, stop it and start spending time with Jesus.
We may be busy with school, our careers, or in the middle of growing our family, but nothing is more important than having a relationship with Jesus. He wants to do life with us through the busy and mundane seasons of life.
Jesus says in Revelations 22:12, βLook, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.” He is coming back soon, but He longs to take you with Him into eternity in heaven. The life we live now is not comparable to the eternity that is to come. The 80-100 years we have here will soon pass, but the eternity that is to come will never end. We have the choice now to choose to know Jesus and be with Him forever in heaven, or away from Him in the fiery furnace of hell.
Will you shift your gaze towards eternity and live for Jesus today?
Jesus gave His life for you to have fellowship with Him. His love for you has been proven in the cross. Will you accept His love and walk in the fullness of who He created you to be?
Jesus isn’t just looking for you to read your Bible and go to church. He is looking for you to surrender your life and will for Him. There is joy in knowing our heavenly father and living rightly with Him. It is a joy that nothing else in this world can bring. Now is our time to live for what is to come. So remember, live for eternity.
