There are depths to knowing how much God loves you. We become filled with the fullness of God as we know the depths of God’s love for us.
While being loved by our family, friends, boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse is amazing, their love can never be compared to God’s love. People will fail you, but God’s love will never fail you.
God is love and He is perfect (Psalm 18:30). Only God’s love can sustain us through the hardships of life. We were made to thrive in God’s love and His love is enough for us to find refuge and satisfaction.
Psalm 26:7 says, “How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.”
Whether you are single or not, know that you can still be filled with a love like no other through Jesus. You are loved by God.
When we are lacking in love, that is our cue to run to Jesus and ask Him to give us a greater revelation of the depths of His love for us in the Bible. We must be rooted and established in God’s love that we may be able to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19).
God’s love is enough to satisfy us and make us glad all our days. Jesus invites us to know His love and we find His love as we take time to seek Him in the Bible and in our alone times with Him.
Jesus promises in Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
There is a love that will never fail us and that is God’s love. God loves you and proved His love for you by sending Jesus to die for you so that those who believe in Him would not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Jesus rose from the grave and has given those who accept Him His Spirit who will also raise them up from the grave (Romans 8:11).
Instead of looking for lesser lovers, look to the One who is love and whose love for you will last forever. God so loves you. The enemy will tempt us to look elsewhere for satisfaction, but we must always remember that only Jesus can satisfy the depths of our hearts.
Jesus loved us even when we didn’t love Him. He loved us first (1 John 4:19). When Jesus came to earth as a man, many did not receive Him, and many still don’t receive Him today. John 1:11 says, “He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.”
Jesus made all of us so He sees us as His own, but sin separated us from God. Jesus knew the only way to have us back was for Him to come as a man and die for us.
Jesus is still pursuing us today and every day because He loves us. He is our bridegroom and like any bridegroom, He pursues the bride.
Revelation 19:7 gives us a glimpse of what is to come for those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior by faith: “…For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.”
Are you aware of how much God loves you?
Every day you are invited to know how much God loves you. No matter where you are, your soul and spirit can feast in abundance with Jesus if you open the door for Jesus to come into your heart.
Jesus is always knocking, yearning for deep intimacy with us. Are our hearts constantly open for Jesus to dwell in us?
If we want to be true followers of Jesus that are hot and not lukewarm, we will need to abide in Jesus daily and throughout the day. It is in our intimate times with Jesus and in His Word that we find the depths of God’s love for us.
What great news to know that NOTHING can separate us from God’s love that is in Jesus. We were all born into sin, separated from God’s love, but God sent Jesus, the spotless One, to die for us so that we may be cleansed and freed from sin. Now NOTHING can separate those who believe and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior from God’s love — not death, not the hardships of life, not the principalities or powers, or anything in all creation.
God’s love is so deep to always fill us through the valley and hills for eternity.
Romans 8:38-39 says, “…neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Through Jesus, we get to live in the love of God now and forever. So remember, take time to know the depths of God’s love.
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for Your love. We are so grateful that Your love that never fails and is so genuine. Thank you for loving us and dying for us even when we were not deserving of it.
