Are You Willing To Believe?

by | Jan 1, 2019

There are blessings that God has for our lives that can only be unlocked through our faith in Him. How far are we willing to believe in the things God has promised over our lives? Will we move forward in faith even in the midst of impossibilities? Are you willing to believe?

Now that 2018 has ended, I can say that this was truly a year of miracles.

While there were many miracles that happened, the journey through this year wasn’t at all easy.

I was faced with fearful thoughts and opposition. God had spoken many promises into my life for this year but they all seemed impossible.

God’s word for me in 2018 was “this is the year of miracles to those willing to believe.” There were moments when I wanted to give up. I couldn’t believe because my situation seemed so impossible. But He told me to be bold and not hold back on anything. I did and I can now say Jesus came through just as He always does – He is Faithful.

Here’s what 2018 looked like for me:

• I stepped out of my shell and started doing worship on the piano
• God opened many speaking/ministering opportunities and saw many hearts touched
• Living Revelations became an official non-profit organization
• I spoke over 80 prophetic words that brought encouragement to others
• God stretched me in generosity and I saw how it blessed others in such a timely manner
• I made the decision to let go of my full-time job to pursue ministry and Living Revelations
• I was able to marry the love of my life and have a beautiful wedding (with only 4 weeks to plan).

All of these things wouldn’t have happened if I wasn’t willing to believe in Jesus. I never could see myself worshipping in front of people. I didn’t think Living Revelations could impact many lives and I didn’t feel qualified to share God’s word. Never could I have imagined getting married within a year. But with God, all things are possible. He’s a God who wants to show off His glory through our lives if we will let Him.

Jesus says in John 11:40 says, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?

The only way to prove our belief in Jesus is by our act of faith through obedience. There were times when I could have chosen to give in to fear and not step out by faith and pursue the things God put in my heart to do. If I had done so, I would have not seen all these miracles come to pass.

We must press on and be willing to believe despite the setbacks we may face.

What are promises that God has spoken over your life? Are you willing to believe and follow Him no matter how impossible it may seem?

Following Jesus isn’t easy, but He does promise us a life to the fullest (John 10:10). When we allow Jesus to be the shepherd over our lives, we can be sure that His goodness and love will follow us all the days of our lives (Psalm 23:6).

We must be willing to seek His direction and have the faith to obey Him no matter the hardships we face. Jesus says in John 16:33 that we will face troubles, but we can rest in Him because He has overcome it all.

As we step out of our comfort zones, God will open the doors of opportunity for 2019. The transition entering into the new year is only to prepare us for the blessings that God wants to pour in our lives. God wants to be able to trust us with the plans that He has for our lives. If we can’t trust God now, how can we trust Him when He gives us more?

God wants us to know that He is our ultimate provider. He is the one who does it all – we are merely a vessel for beholding His glory. We serve a God who does above all we can ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20).

2019 is a year of open doors and abundant blessings for those who acknowledge God as the Great I Am. Let’s start 2019 with the faith that we serve a God of the impossible. So remember, are you willing to believe?

Prayer: God, you are the Great I Am and the one who does it all. I put my trust in you.
