We are irreplaceable in the Lord’s eyes and we matter to Him because We are His.
Recently, I was asking God for a greater revelation of His love for me. He then reminded me that He died on the cross for ME. This truth finally hit me, and I now understand that Jesus died on the cross because He loved each of us individually.
God gave me an analogy of how a parent loves their children and how each child is irreplaceable. A parent can have many children, but losing one will always hurt. Know that you are special in God’s eyes and you matter to Him. God could have easily created new people, but the thought of being separated from us hurt Him. Though there are billions of people on this planet, no one can replace you.
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
We get to have the title of being a child of God when we choose to believe and live in Christ. As children of God, we have the assurance that nothing can separate us from His love. What a privilege to know that we belong to God and are called His own. If you don’t feel like you’re loved or wanted, know that you’re wanted and loved by the Most High God. God loved us so much that He made a way for us to be HIS by sending Jesus to die. God was willing to do anything to make us in right standing for fellowship with Him.
1 Peter 2:10 is such a beautiful reminder that “once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
You have the Almighty God on your side now and forevermore. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Nothing in this world can cause us to fear when we remember that we belong to the one and only Almighty God. Disaster, sickness, death, and other troubles may come, but as children of God, our inheritance is eternal life with God. God has proven His love towards us by choosing to redeem us through the blood of Jesus. Nothing can separate us from His love because we are His (Romans 8:38).
You matter to God because He loves you. You are not just another person He made, but a child He loves. Luke 15 shows us God’s heart for the one. Verses 4 and 7 say, “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?… I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”
Let us never forget that we are SO loved by God. Jesus’ death on the cross is the greatest proof of God’s love for us. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
God made the choice to save us and lavish His grace upon us out of love.
He chose to forgive our sins out of love.
God sent Jesus to die on the cross for us out of love.
God loves us so much that He chose for His own sake to blot out our sins so that we could be one with Him. God couldn’t imagine life without us, so He sent Jesus, who was God in flesh, and offered Himself as a sacrifice on the cross so that we could be cleansed of our sins and redeemed back to right standing with God.
We now have the opportunity to submit our lives to Jesus and have a relationship with God. No matter what we have done, no sin of our past can separate us from God’s love (Romans 8:28). Eternal life, and a life to the fullest, only comes through accepting Jesus.

Prayer: Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross to save me. Give me a greater revelation of your love for me.
